LoungeMatch — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LoungeMatch app and website. By creating an account or using LoungeMatch, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use LoungeMatch. LoungeMatch is intended for professional networking.

2. Your account

You sign in through Google, Apple, or LinkedIn. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials with those providers secure. Provide accurate information and keep your profile truthful.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other users.
Post false, misleading, unlawful, or offensive content.
Use LoungeMatch for spam, solicitation, or any commercial purpose we haven't authorized.
Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you're not authorized to access.
Collect or scrape other users' information.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the community at risk.

4. Meeting other people — your safety

LoungeMatch helps you arrange to meet in person, but meetings happen at your own discretion and risk. We do not conduct background checks on users. Always meet in public places, tell someone your plans, and use the report and block tools if something feels wrong. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.

5. Content you provide

You keep ownership of the content you create (your profile, messages, ratings, and notes). By posting it, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and display it as needed to operate the service. You're responsible for the content you share and must have the right to share it.

6. Ratings, reports, and moderation

Ratings and reports help keep the community professional. Submit them honestly. When you report a conversation, you agree that we may review the related chat history to assess the report. We may act on reports at our discretion, including warning, restricting, or removing accounts.

7. Premium subscriptions

LoungeMatch offers a free tier and an optional paid Premium subscription that unlocks additional features. If you purchase Premium:

Billing is handled through the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play), subject to their terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account settings.
Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.

We may change Premium features or offerings over time; we'll aim to give reasonable notice of material changes.

8. Termination

You may stop using LoungeMatch and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect users or the service.

9. Disclaimers

LoungeMatch is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that you'll make connections, that other users are who they claim to be, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LoungeMatch and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other users or your use of the service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
